The tonal power of a symphony breaks in the scene and sweeps us away to the depth of the sea, luminescent for the fugitive play of light on the water, animates by the vibrating dance of the opalescent jellyfish, by the silver flickering of fish that movie schooling towards a hidden destination.

The waves overflow the sand, it eventually moves back silently, disturbed only the whispering of the breakers. The scene changes: the sound of violins, almost a lament, bath in a scarlet sea: It´s the slaughter.

Now the rhythm becomes little by little more excited, when representing the human, violent in his role of the ruler, voracious in appropriating the goods of the exploited nature, as source for a continued existence, integrated especially in a media-effective circle of commercialization.

It is the story if a brutal humanity, whose actions, which are driven by mere economical purposes and by thirst of power, effect wars, destruction, ruination, pain. Towards the Homo vorax rises the Natura nutrix, with the majesty of its landscapes, with the force of its opposite power.

The director and composer Piero Pizzul releases a message of global range, an invitation for reflection, for the recovery of fundamental values in favour of the preservation of the species with regard to the ecosystem, otherwise as his video seems to tell us – we will soon pass from the hectic rush to paralysis, to aridity, like the dry soil that lacking of lymph splits beneath our feet corresponding to our intern aridity.

The video Natura Nutrix – Homo Vorax, despite his often scandalized hardness, is a page of poetry. We could define it as sonorous poetry, for the technologic, electroacoustic and electronic support that constitutes an essential instrumental element, moving in the acoustic and figurative space, in the performance of an artistic project that is open towards multimedia perception.

It is the work of an artist that is sensitive and attentive towards the acoustic distribution which he re produce by means of sonorous polyrhythmic stratifications and images that are loaded with emotional flow. In those images the his historical path interacts with brief flashes dedicated to art, thanks to the images or work of eleven authors that make history of arts, such as

Dali, Arcimboldo, Caravaggio, Matisse, Pollock, Jordaens.
